The evacuation simulation results of a pedestrian simulation model of Tokyo Dome |
Simulation process |
A miniature version of the Tokyo Dome and its surrounding areas was constructed by cellular automaton model. Special mechanisms are applied to influence the behaviour of an agent leaving from a certain stadium gate by attracting it to a nearby business facility and/or guiding it to uncongested areas. Differential evolution algorithm is then used to find out the optimal probabilities of influencing agents for each stadium gate. The main goal is reducing evacuation time, while other goals like reducing the costs for influencing agents’ behaviours and individual evacuation time are also considered. A number of results are obtained through the above-mentioned process. |
Expected outcome of the process (obtained knowledge, analysis results, output of tools) |
Provide a goal-dependent, exit-specific strategy for optimizing pedestrian flows |
Anticipation for analyses/simulations other than the typical ones provided above |
Help the business owners around Tokyo Dome to formulate better business strategy |
