Total sleeping Length | Sleeping Quality |
Outline of data |
It would be interesting to analyze individuals' sleeping length per night and sleeping cycle in order to draw conclusion based on the relationship between the two variables and improve people's overall health based on the findings. |

Regression Model |
Expected outcome of the process (obtained knowledge, analysis results, output of tools) |
The main task is to examine relationship between total sleeping length and sleeping quality. Sleeping quality can be obtained from the length of slow-wave sleeping stage (REM), or periods in which a person is in deep sleep. Theoretically, the longer the total sleeping length during a night, the longer the slow-wave sleeping stage should be. However, sleeping more than enough may also cause an individual to continue to sleep in non-REM stage, or light sleep stage. Therefore, a regression of total sleeping length and the ratio of REM vs. non-REM's length can be computed. |
Anticipation for analyses/simulations other than the typical ones provided above |
Analyses can also be drawn by examining the relationship of total sleeping length vs. gender, age group, and occupation |
