About data analysis and simulation

Type of data: Check all that apply. Use "Other" to specify other types so that we can include them in further updates. graph series
Variable labels of dataset (the names of the variables) DATE|RELATIVE SEARCH FREQUENCY (RELATIVE SCALE)
Outline of data This data includes the historical relative Google search interest for three terms: "Facebook", "myspace" and "friendster".? It gives weekly data from 2004 to 2012, all in relative terms.
Simulation process This should be, at least for the earlier years (before "fb.com" and other innovations), a good proxy variable for the relative popularity of these social networks.
Expected outcome of the process (obtained knowledge, analysis results, output of tools) Outcome is improved understanding of relative social network popularity for a characterization of the factors causing their rise and fall.
Anticipation for analyses/simulations other than the typical ones provided above Might be an aid for business cases and plans, both for educational and innovation processes.
