245万人(2014年時点)のウェザーニュース会員(リポーター)が、主に身の回りの天気をテーマに「今の状況」を、携帯端末を用いて、写真やデータ(現在の天気や体感など)、その他フリーコメントをつけてウェザーニューズに送信したもの。 データ数は、日本国内で一日平均2万リポート。多いときで5万リポート/日。 送信されたリポートは、ウェザーニューズにて住民が現在置かれている状況をより正確に把握するために活用され、天気予報作成プロセスにも組み込まれている。 |
